Food
We kicked off with prawn spring rolls and a generous platter of tacos, chicken strips, buffalo mint wings, and chilli mint wings. The spring rolls were slightly undercooked inside but had a good crunch. The standout was the buffalo mint wings — sweet, tangy, and well-cooked. Solid start: 7/10.
For mains, I ordered grilled lamb chops with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The first plate came undercooked, but the chef responded swiftly, replaced it with a perfectly grilled version, and even checked in personally — a thoughtful touch. The new plate was satisfying and flavourful: 7/10.Surprise favourite? The Lagos Rock cocktail (yes, still keeping the name!) — sweet with a strong kick and served ice-cold.
Ambience
True to its Afro-fusion theme, Trib3 Benin offers a mix of tribal-inspired interiors. Each section of the restaurant gives off a different mood, letting you choose a space that matches your vibe for the night. The music was just right — setting the tone for what could become a top night lounge spot in the city.
Service
Service was decent, though a bit slow at times. There were a few too many attendants without clear direction, which created some confusion. Room for improvement, but not a dealbreaker.
Overall experience: 6.5/10.
